Youth Awards

The Youth Awards Programme is a celebration of the achievements, resilience, creativity, contribution and potential of young people in our communities. 

At URBOND, we believe that young people should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential, develop their skills, build positive relationships and have their voices heard. The Youth Awards Programme builds on this commitment by shining a light on young people who are making a difference whether through education, sport, creativity, volunteering, leadership, employment, personal development or positive contributions to their communities. 

Why the Youth Awards Matter 

Too often, the achievements of young people can go unnoticed. 

Behind every qualification, every improved school result, every sporting achievement, every creative project, every act of kindness and every personal breakthrough is a young person who has worked hard to overcome challenges and move forward. 

The Youth Awards provide a platform to say:

The programme is designed to recognise achievement while also encouraging young people to set goals, develop confidence, discover their strengths and become positive role models for others. 

Celebrating Achievement in All Its Forms 

Success does not look the same for every young person. 

The awards recognise a broad range of achievements and contributions, with more than 20 young people being recognised on the night. 

More Than an Awards Ceremony 

The Youth Awards Programme is about much more than handing out trophies. 

It forms part of URBOND’s wider Youth Development approach, connecting recognition with mentoring, education, employability, wellbeing, creativity, sport, engagement and youth voice.
