Creative Writing
Regular sessions designed to encourage expression of ideas, emotions and creativity through imaginative and artistic use of language
By delivering creative writing, we aim to support young people in developing their writing skills and provide them with a safe space to write short stories, poetry, and explore other imaginative forms of writing. We offer fun activities that allow young people to create stories and bring them to life, write articles for publication (such as creating an URBOND newsletter by the young people), and write about current topics and subjects. We encourage the positive sharing of work and provide support with spelling, punctuation, and grammar to help improve key skills.
Our goal is for young people to express themselves more creatively through various forms of writing and become more confident in their abilities.
