The URBOND Women’s Group and Portsmouth Women Alliance united on Saturday 8th June 2024 for an empowering workshop focused on fostering women in business. The event, held at a local community centre, brought together aspiring entrepreneurs and established businesswomen to learn, share experiences, and ignite their passion for entrepreneurship.

The highlight of the workshop was a keynote address by Anne Stevens, a distinguished independent chair, director, and mentor with extensive experience in the corporate world. As the former Vice President of People & Organisation at Rio Tinto Copper, Anne shared her journey as a global business leader, emphasising the crucial role of mindset and determination in achieving success.

In her opening remarks, Anne reflected on the challenges and triumphs she faced throughout her career, illustrating how resilience and a positive mindset can propel women to new heights in the business world. Her insights resonated with attendees, who found motivation in her story and practical advice on overcoming barriers.
