URBOND Hosts Big Reveal

May 12, 2026
On Tuesday 12 May, URBOND welcomed young people, families, partners, and supporters to its Big Reveal @ URBOND event at City Buildings in Portsmouth.
The evening marked the unveiling of the newly transformed URBOND space, showcasing vibrant new wall art and decoration created in collaboration with the Hampshire Flag Company, alongside a powerful mural designed through a partnership between local artist Katy McIntyre and URBOND Youth Ambassadors. The mural project was proudly sponsored by the Hampshire High Sheriff, Sue Elton to leave a legacy of her work before the end of her role as High Sheriff.
The event brought the community together for an evening filled with music, food, games, and celebration, highlighting URBOND’s continued commitment to creating positive, inspiring spaces for young people across the city.
Guests enjoyed special entertainment throughout the evening, including performances from Ruth and Emmanuel, two young people who have been thriving through URBOND’s music project.
A major highlight of the night was the surprise reveal that closed the event, a McLaren supercar featuring the URBOND logo in celebration of the Portsmouth centenary, which created a memorable finale to the celebration.
The Big Reveal reflected the creativity, voice, and collaboration of young people and the wider community. By involving young people directly in the creative process, the project demonstrated our commitment to youth empowerment and community engagement.
URBOND would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all partners, supporters, volunteers, performers, and attendees who contributed to making the evening such a success and everyone who continues to support URBOND’s vision for young people and members of the community.
