URBOND Inspiring Community Forum Meeting
On the 23rd September, URBOND hosted an engaging forum meeting that brought together a diverse group of local leaders, community organisations, and associations. The event fostered meaningful discussions and showcased the impactful work being done within the community.
One of the highlights of the meeting was a compelling presentation by Steve Rolls from the Portsmouth Mediation Service, who shared valuable insights on conflict resolution and community support. Participants gained a deeper understanding of mediation processes and their significance in fostering harmony within the community.
In addition, attendees learned about the Empowered Lives Initiative, an organisation founded by young people dedicated to improving child education in Ivory Coast. The initiative aims to provide resources and support for children, ensuring they have access to quality education and opportunities for a brighter future.
The forum also spotlighted the Portsmouth Women Alliance, which is actively working to uplift and empower women in the local community. Their initiatives focus on providing support, resources, and a platform for women to thrive in various aspects of life.
