COMMUNITY FITNESS AND SPORTING
We organise weekly, monthly, and quarterly fitness and sporting activities and events for our community members.

URBOND’s sports programme offers open sessions for basketball, football and volleyball to which all participants are welcome regardless of their age, background or fitness/skill levels.

The focus of this project is to promote positive activities and provide an environment which stimulates members of the community to improve fitness levels whilst supporting team building, therefore tackling issues such as obesity and promoting inclusion.

Community Basketball

Open sessions for all to work on fitness levels before playing basketball. Everyone (beginner and experienced player) is welcome.
Mondays: 7 – 9pm @ Charter Community Sports Centre, Greetham St, Southsea, Portsmouth, PO5 4LF.
£6.00 per person per session.
Community Basketball Tournaments are organise in February and May yearly.

Community Football

Open sessions for everyone to work on their fitness levels before playing football.
Wednesdays: 8:00 – 9:30pm, 6 a-side @ Charles Dickens Centre, PO1 4DY
Saturdays: 10:00 – 11:30am, 6 a-side @ Priory Community Sports Centre, PO4 1SH
£6.00 per session.
Community Football Tournaments are organise in June and August yearly.

Community volleyball

Open sessions for all to work on fitness levels before playing volleyball. Everyone (beginner and experienced player) is welcome to join our sessions.

Sundays: 12:00pm – 14:00pm @ Charles Dickens Centre, PO1 4DY
£6.00 per session (with first session free!)
Community Volleyball Tournaments are organise in March and July yearly.

Competitive Volleyball

We have 2 teams competing at the national level.
Our Ladies in the NVL Division 3 and Mens in the NVL Division 2.
Tuesday (Mens): 7 – 9pm @ Charles Dickens, PO1 4DY
Wednesdays (Juniors, U15s): 6:00 – 7pm @ St Edmunds School, PO1 1RX (£3.00 per session).
Fridays (Juniors, U18s): 6:00 – 7pm @ Priory Community Sport Centre, PO4 1SH
Friday (Ladies): 7 – 9pm @ Priory Community Sport Centre, PO4 1SH
£6.00 per session for non-members.
