URBOND Christmas Dinner (2017)
The URBOND Christmas dinner was a tremendous success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There was a fantastic effort made by all of the URBOND committee members and volunteers, and a big thank you to all of those who attended.
Over 117 people attended the event and had brilliant time. From the feedback we have received, the food was lovely, relaxed environment and people enjoyed talking to community members they would not have normally spoken to.
The following was a comment from one of the attendees (Karen from Kent) who was asked for their thoughts on the event and URBOND in the community as a whole: “I never miss URBOND events, its the only group that I know that bring people together irrespective of their background and treat them with respect. Karen further added that URBOND Community engagement efforts improve connections between individuals and strengthen their relationship”
Urbond were fortunate to receive Raffle prizes from the following organisations and their representatives: Debbie Muscat from Debenhams, Adam Thomas from Sainsbury’s, Gemma from Tesco, M&S, Wilkinson, Danny Mart and attendees that turned up with prizes and donations. Thank you all or your contribution towards our fundraising, your effort is truly appreciated. URBOND would also like to thank Anne Roberts, Sarah Baker, Debbie Muscat, Ibrahim Bose for running fundraising activities during the event.
We thank everyone for their commitment, dedication and giving their time to join us, it would not have happened without your support. It’s only with committed people like you that we can organize and run fun activities.
