LSI Portsmouth hand over charity cheque to URBOND
Students and staff from LSI Portsmouth have presented URBOND with a cheque for £170.00 following a bake sale event that was held at the LSI premises on Monday 11th November 2019.
The event was organised by Catherine Barker (Social Programme Organiser) at LSI Portsmouth and it was aimed to raise funds to support a local charity for the work they do in the community and the city of Portsmouth.
During the hand over, Smangele G., URBOND Trustee Member, said; ‘’On behalf of everyone at URBOND I would like to thank all the students, and staff who spent days planning and time baking for their hard work and determination. The funds will go a long way in supporting our work in our communities as we aim to promote racial harmony and diversity.’’
